Jeanne-Sophie recently concluded her studies at the Schulich School of Music of McGill University in Montreal. She completed a Graduate Diploma in Performance with Andrew Wan, preceded by a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in performance with Violaine Melançon. She pursued her collegial studies in her hometown at the Conservatoire de Musique de Saguenay with Nathalie Camus and Guylaine Grégoire.
She gained part of her orchestral playing experience participating in the National Youth Orchestra of Canada (2015, 2016, 2017) where she received an Award of Excellence. More recently, she performed along the National Academy Orchestra (2018) and attended in 2019 the Collegium Musicum Schloss Pommersfelden in Germany.
Jeanne-Sophie currently holds a position in the second violins of the Orchestre Symphonique du Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean (since 2016), her hometown, and regularly performs with various professional orchestras in and around Montreal as a substitute.
