Jean-Michel Malouf is the artistic director and conductor of the Orchestre symphonique de Sherbrooke (OSS).

The Montreal-born was trained as a trombonist before turning to conducting in 2005, under the tutelage of Raffi Armenian. In 2016, he was awarded the Jean-Marie-Beaudet Bursary from the Canada Council for the Arts.

Recognized for his remarkable precision, sensitivity and natural leadership, he has been called upon to take part in numerous projects in recent years. Maestro Malouf has been invited to conduct the Montréal, Québec, Trois-Rivières and Laval symphony orchestras, as well as the Orchestre Métropolitain and Symphony Nova Scotia. He was also given directorship of Diane Dufresne's last concert in France at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, as well as other concerts with her in Quebec in subsequent years.
