Anaïs Pellin

Anaïs Pellin is an actor, creator, puppeteer and writer who has appeared in several stage plays, Detto Molière (Manège.Mons [MARS]/Teatro delle Albe), Les Théâtres de Marguerite Duras (Grütli), and La jeune fille folle de son âme (Théâtre du Peuple/Rideau de Bruxelles). In Vancouver, Anaïs regularly works with Théâtre la Seizième, and last season appeared in the company’s young audience show Le Merveilleux voyage d’Inès de l’Ouest (postponed because of COVID-19). She also works with Vortex Théâtre, Presentation House Theatre and Théâtre de la Pire Espèce.

In March 2020, Anaïs founded Kleine Compagnie, with which she created the object theatre shows Clémentine and Petite Sirène in collaboration with artists from Vancouver and Montreal.

She benefited from La Seizième’s dramaturgical development program to write a play for young audiences, La Befana.

Anaïs is a graduate of the Conservatoire Royal de Mons acting program and holds a master’s degree in theatre studies from UCLouvain. She received the 2017 Roland Mahé–National Bank Award from the Fondation pour l’avancement du théâtre francophone (FATFC) au Canada for Clémentine, and the FATFC’s 2019 Prix du Centre des Écritures Dramatiques – Wallonie-Bruxelles for La Befana.
