Former CTV anchor Max Keeping conducts the National Arts Centre Orchestra Players’ Association at Fanfair
Ottawa (Canada) — Former CTV Ottawa anchor Max Keeping and the players of the National Arts Centre Orchestra Players’ Association are giving their time, their talent and their compassion this holiday season with Fanfair, the annual free concert that benefits the Snowsuit Fund and the Ottawa Food Bank.

When: 12 p.m., Sunday, December 15, 2013 (bake sale and silent auction begin at 10:45 a.m.)
What: NAC Orchestra Players’ Association Annual Fanfair concert with Max Keeping as guest conductor.
This year, the players will be joined in this one-hour family-friendly concert by NACO Bursary winner and violinist phenomenon Kerson Leong, young performers from KidSingers and OrKidstra, and the Ottawa Regional Youth Choir.
Music Director Pinchas Zukerman has graciously signed a brand new “whip,” the famous percussion instrument featured during Leroy Anderson's Sleigh Ride, for the Fanfair silent auction. The lucky winner not only gets to keep it as a souvenir, but will guest star with the Orchestra during its performance of Sleigh Ride at Fanfair. Attendees may view the silent auction bid sheet on display at the bake sale table.
Every year, hundreds of people attend the concert to sing carols, enjoy holiday music and enjoy homemade treats prepared for the annual bake sale presented by the Friends of the National Arts Centre Orchestra. (The bake sale begins at 10:45 a.m.).
Thanks to the generosity of its audience, every year the NAC Orchestra Players' Association assists in directing much needed funds to its two favourite local charities: namely the Snowsuit Fund and the Ottawa Food Bank. Donations of non-perishable food items and new or used snowsuits and winter jackets will be accepted at FanFair 2013 and throughout the holiday season in specially marked containers in the NAC Foyer.
