Haul out the concert T-shirt: Led Zeppelin lifts off with the NACO!

Dear Organizational Purge Expert:

Why can’t my husband seem to throw out that one concert shirt? Should I frame it?

Signed,

Stuck in the 70s

Dear Closet-Purging “helpful” person:

Don’t touch that T-shirt. Except to photograph it and post to Facebook. Those concert T-shirts aren’t just made of cotton; they’re made of music memory of the highest thread count. And I’m betting that you’re already in line at the NAC box office for tickets for the live orchestra concert in May, 2013. My friend, you are always ahead of the curve.

The Facts:

The National Arts Centre Orchestra presents “The Music of Led Zeppelin with the NAC Orchestra”, May 22-23, 2013. The full rock band and vocals (Brent Havens, conductor, arranger, Randy Jackson, vocals, Dan Clemens, bass, Powell Randolph, drums, George Cintron, guitar, and Allegra, electric violin) are live, playing the best of the best Zeppelin songs verbatim, with full wall-of-sound treatment from the NAC Orchestra’s stellar musicians.

Led Zeppelin tickets go on sale at the NAC Box Office or Ticketmaster Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at 10:00 a.m.

Salvaged from the scraps of the Yardbirds, Led Zeppelin became the number one most influential rock band of the 1970s. Rolling Stone magazine wrote that Zeppelin was "unquestionably one of the most enduring bands in rock history,” and in 2006, a cover story honoured them as "the Heaviest Band of All Time".

Stirred to a frenzy by the recent screening in of the concert documentary “Celebration Day” and subsequent November release of the multi-format Blu-ray and DVD, the magnetic power of Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones is as powerful as ever.

Now’s your chance to relive the heavy, meditative power of Zeppelin: buy your tickets this week, and you’ve got a date for May. And a plan for the shirt.
