National Arts Centre Orchestra principal cello Amanda Forsyth, Associate Concertmaster Jessica Linnebach, viola Jethro Marks, and special guest, pianist Angela Cheng, are featured in ‘Music for a Sunday Afternoon’ on April 3 at the National Gallery of Canada
The third ‘Music for a Sunday Afternoon’ concert of the NAC’s 2010-2011 season features NAC Orchestra principal cello Amanda Forsyth, Associate Concertmaster Jessica Linnebach, viola Jethro Marks, and special guest, pianist Angela Cheng.
This concert was originally scheduled for Saturday March 5. Tickets already purchased for that concert can be used for the concert on April 3 – no new tickets are required.
On April 3, this popular Sunday afternoon concert series features music by Mozart, Schumann, and Brahms. The program includes:
MOZART Duo in B-flat major for Violin and Viola, K424
SCHUMANN Adagio and Allegro for Cello and Piano, Op. 70
BRAHMS Piano Quintet in F minor, Op. 34
The concert takes place in the Auditorium of the National Gallery of Canada at 2 p.m. on Sunday April 3. Tickets are $31.21 for adults and $15.60 for students with Student ID; they can be purchased at the National Arts Centre Box Office in advance or, if available, at the door on the day of the concert.
