The National Arts Centre welcomes Toronto artists Erin Brubacher and Cara Spooner to Ottawa this fall where they will offer a FREE performance workshop for teenagers ages 16-20. Brubacher and Spooner are directors of Suburban Beast’s Dora Award-winning production of Concord Floral which will be presented by NAC English Theatre in the spring of 2016. NAC audiences most recently experienced Suburban Beast's work when Post Eden, by Jordan Tannahill, was featured at Ontario Scene.

Through their experimental work, Erin and Cara have developed innovative ways to create and practice performance. With backgrounds in theatre, dance, photography and other forms, Erin and Cara believe that how things are made shapes what is made and will share these ways of working with youth who are hungry for developing their own new performance strategies and crafts through experience. Erin and Cara are the lead mentors for the teenage artist collective Here is how you listen in Toronto.
