When the going gets hard, often we put our own needs last. We mistake self-care with selfishness. Sucking it up and tolerating is expected and a point of pride, regardless of the effects on our own physical and mental health. Of course, during the time of Covid and isolation, all of this is heightened!
This short film was created and produced on the traditional, unceded and occupied territories of the Coast Salish peoples of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwəta (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. Our mission proceeds in the spirit of reconciliation with First Nations across the land.
