Soundtrack: a music creation project

While in Bristol Canadian composer John Estacio met with eight young composers to explore the composition process. "Soundtrack" is an intergenerational project for young people to compose a musical work inspired by the musical memories and experiences of veterans. Each piece will reflect six months of dialogue and discovery between an elderly person and their “soundtrack" composer. Led by Bristol musician Jonathan James in partnership with St. Monica’s Trust, and composer John Estacio.

During today's workshop students discussed a range of topics from finding inspiration to meeting project deadlines. In a few months students will present their work to Mr. Estacio online for further study.
