One last dance for Cathy Levy. Looking back at 23 years at the NAC Dance barre.

Cathy Levy joined the NAC Dance team in 2000 with great enthusiasm. She set out to accomplish several things, including how to make Ottawa a prime destination for dance.

Cathy, who had long been regarded as a visionary in the dance world, rose to the challenge with flying colours. In her capable hands, Ottawa has become a city whose heart beats to the rhythm of its dancers. She has leveraged her strong instincts, her boundless energy and all the time she invested in building strong ties with choreographers and dance companies across Canada and abroad to make the National Arts Centre’s stages a popular destination for artists.

Cathy has kindly agreed to speak to us on camera for a short interview. This video will introduce you to an eminent executive producer who is both proud, yet at times surprised, by the extent of her accomplishments over the past two decades.

Cathy Levy has been a tremendous influence on the Canadian dance scene and leaves behind a rich artistic legacy that will be felt for years to come. Thank you, Cathy, for an outstanding career at the NAC, for helping NAC Dance become a major player on the international stage and for bringing world-class performances to Ottawa.
