The National Arts Centre raises its new flag Tuesday to mark launch of its new visual identity

Ottawa (Canada)—Media are invited to attend the flag raising of the National Arts Centre’s new flag on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at 1 p.m. outside its entrance at the corner of Elgin and Queen Streets, near Freiman Lane.

As the NAC approaches its 45th Birthday in June, Canadians will begin to see a new visual identity and tagline that symbolize the National Arts Centre’s role of helping to build a national stage together with artists and arts organizations across the country.

The new flag is the NAC’s way of celebrating the performing arts across the country and is one of the first steps the NAC is taking on its path towards Canada’s 150th Birthday in 2017 and the NAC’s 50th Birthday in 2019.
