Ottawa (Ontario), September 5, 2013 - One month prior to the launch of the 2013-14 Season, the NAC English Theatre is thrilled to announce that due to unprecedented demand, the Holiday production of The Sound of Music has been extended with seven additional performances from December 23 thru 28.  Artistic Director Jillian Keiley’s inaugural season has garnered such strong interest that the family favourite, Where the Wild Things Are, has also added an evening performance.

Tickets for all performances went on public sale this Tuesday, September 3rd.

The world’s favourite musical, The Sound of Music, will now run in the NAC Theatre from December 3 - 28, 2013, with 7:30 p.m. performances added on December 23, 26, 27 and 28, and 2 p.m. matinee performances added on December 24, 26 and 28.

Maurice Sendak’s wildly imaginative Where the Wild Things Are now plays in the NAC Fourth Stage May 9 – 10, 2014 with an added performance on May 9 at 7 p.m.

Tickets for The Sound of Music start at $30; Where the Wild Things Are $18. Tickets are available for purchase:
