Formed in 1995, the Festival has grown from a small gathering to one of Canada’s premier roots, folk and global music festivals that celebrates musical excellence, diversity and inclusion. Following the Western Folk Festival model, it includes workshops, jam sessions, song circles and concerts with BC, national and international performers. A family event with a large campground, it’s one of the primary drivers of cultural tourism on Vancouver Island.
