Véronique Lachance is a multidisciplinary Euro-Quebec artist of predominantly French ancestry (immigration during the colonial era of New France). She spent her childhood between the unceded territories of the Abenaki (Eastern Townships), Atikamekw (Mauricie) and Mi’kmaq (Gaspé) nations. She studied acting at the École supérieure de théâtre de l’UQAM. Upon her graduation in 2014, she co-founded Grande Surface, a multidisciplinary artist collective in Montreal. She moved to the territory of the Ta’an Kwäch’än and Kwanlin Dün Nation Council (Kwanlin/Whitehorse) in 2017. Since then, she has been working with the Yukon theatre companies Gwaandak, Nakai and Ramshackle Theatre.
