Born and raised in Edmonton, Taran Plamondon is a horn player and music copyist based in Gatineau, Québec.

Taran holds an Artist Diploma from the Glenn Gould School, where he was the recipient of the Hazel Workman Kettley Scholarship, and a Bachelor of Music in Performance from the University of Alberta. He works at the National Arts Centre as the Annual Fund & Planned Giving Development Coordinator, and he maintains an active freelance career as a horn player. He also runs Éditions Plamondon, a music preparation and publishing business that works with many prominent Canadian orchestras and chamber ensembles.
