Sébastien Ricard

Sébastien Ricard divides his time between acting, singing (he is a founding member of the band Loco Locass) and political activism. For theatre, he has given masterful performances in several productions directed by Brigitte Haentjens for Sibyllines, including Shakespeare’s Richard III, Brecht and Weill’s L’opéra de quat’sous (The Threepenny Opera), Koltès’ La nuit juste avant les forêts, Büchner’s Woyzeck, and Vivre, based on the writings of Virginia Woolf, all of which were also presented at the NAC. For film, he played Dédé Fortin in Jean‑Philippe Duval’s Dédé à travers les brumes and gave memorable performances in François Delisle’s Chorus, Jimmy Larouche’s Antoine et Marie, and Catherine Martin’s Une jeune fille.
