Sean St. John

Sean St. John is Executive Vice President, Managing Director and Co-Head of Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities Group at National Bank. He is also a member of the Financial Markets Management Committee.  

Sean joined National Bank in 1996, as Head of Corporate Trading. He spearheaded the growth of the firm’s institutional corporate bond trading business. He took over the Debt Capital Markets business in 2008 and was named Co-Head of Fixed Income, one year later. In 2012, he joined the Financial Markets Management Committee.

Sean is on the board of the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, where he is also a member of the Granting Committee; the board of Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada, where he is also Chair of the Equity and Inclusion Committee Council; and the board of Right To Play Canada, where he is also co-Chair for the Indigenous Program.

He has an HBA from York University.  

Sean lives in Toronto. He joined the NAC Foundation Board of Directors in 2022.
