Rebecca Singh has been audio describing film, television, live performance, and visual art since 2011. She is a storyteller with a multidisciplinary art practice spanning over 25 years. Her extensive experience includes producing, writing, and voicing descriptions on all genres of artwork shows and events from around the world including art films, large-scale art installations, theatre, musicals, dance and opera. Rebecca has worked in many venues in Toronto and organizations across the country. She works with members of the Blind and partially sighted community as well as with cultural consultants on every project. She has described works by Theatremakers and artists including Yolanda Bonnell, Rosy Simas, Christa Couture, Terence Houle, Jani Lauzon, Kaha:wi Dance Theatre, Chelsea Vowel, Jordan Bennett and Leanne Betasamosake Simpson. Rebecca is the founder and CEO of Superior Description Services and a contributor to the Routledge Handbook of Audio Description. Originally from Alberta, she called Montreal home for over a decade and now is based out of Toronto.
