Raha is a performer, theatre designer, and educator. Select lighting design credits: Brothers Size (Dora Nomination), as well as multiple concerts (Riverboat, Route 66, and The Big Easy) for Soulpepper; Aurash for Modern Times, Luba for Canadian Stage (co-designed with Rob Thomson). Select projection design credits: House of Dreams, Tale of Two Cities, Visions & Voyages, and Circle of Creation for Tafelmusik; Der Freischutzfor Opera Atelier. Raha was co-recipient of the Siminovitch Protege Award, and has been nominated for three Dora Mavor Moore Awards for lighting design and as a playwright. Active as a musician and performer, she is front-woman and singer/bassist of Bad Luck Woman & Her Misfortunes, a Slaight Resident Artist at Soulpepper Theatre, and has music directed several projects including Snow White at Young People’s Theatre, Kensington: A Musical (co-written by Raha) at Sheridan College, and the Velveteen Rabbit at Carousel Players. She teaches lighting design at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson).
