Quincy is thrilled to be making his debut at the National Arts Centre. Past credits include two seasons with the Stratford Festival, Intimate Apparel, Romeo and Juliet, Condoville, Tiger’s Heart (Centaur Theatre); A Common Man’s Guide to Loving Women, New Canadian Kid (Black Theatre Workshop); four seasons with the St. Lawrence Shakespeare Festival (SLSF); The Iliad, The Odyssey, The Jungle Book, Beethoven Lives Upstairs (Geordie Productions); A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Repercussion Theatre); Twelfth Night, The Fantasticks (Piggery Theatre); two summers with Shakespeare by the Sea, among many others. He is a graduate of the Theatre Department at Concordia University and also studied at the Birmingham Conservatory for Classical Theatre at the Stratford Festival. Quincy has been the Artistic Director of Black Theatre Workshop (BTW) in Montreal since 2011, where he has directed Gas Girls, The Meeting and Cattle Call. Before arriving in Ottawa, Quincy will return for his fifth season at SLSF, and upon his return to Montreal, he will direct She Said/He Said for Black Theatre Workshop.
