Hailing from Beijing, China, classical violinist Qiyue He has captivated audiences worldwide with her creative programming, bold interpretations, and artistic sensitivity. As a recitalist and chamber musician, she aims to reconnect the general public to the great music from past centuries. Qiyue received her music training from EAMA – Nadia Boulanger Institute in Paris, France, as well as the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York, while pursuing her bachelor’s degrees in medieval history and mathematics at the University of Rochester. She has been studying with internationally renowned musicians, including Wilfredo Degláns, Jonathan Crow, Ilya Kaler, and Emile Naoumoff. Outside of music, Qiyue is a pet parent to three guinea pigs and one rabbit. She also enjoys playing board games, drawing, and visiting museums.
