Patrick Bigelow

Montreal born Patrick Bigelow is an Ottawa based double bassist. A graduate of uOttawa, with a master’s degree in Music performance, having studied in the studio of virtuoso and former NACO prinicpal bass Joel Quarrington.

Patrick began his life in music on the violin at age four, and found his love for the double bass at age seventeen. He has been falling more deeply in love with the instrument ever since, and has developed an eclectic range of musical experience. He plays with a number of classical groups and orchestras, as well as jazz and folk groups throughout Ottawa.
