The National Orchestra of Korea, founded in 1995, is a resident company of the National Theater of Korea. The NOK captivates global audiences by creating contemporary music and delivering high-quality performances. Composed of traditional Korean instruments that have been developed and preserved over a long history, the NOK continues to plan, develop, and present unique concerts. These concerts feature contemporary reinterpretations of traditional music, sounds that embody Korean spirit and identity, and a distinctive repertoire that appeals to audiences worldwide. To stage performances befitting that of a national arts company - enjoyable to all while showcasing the NOK’s unique identity - they tirelessly meet the challenge of creating works that link the past, present and future.
