Matheus Moraes

Matheus Moraes is a trumpet player with the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra. Originally from Brazil, he had a long career as a freelancer, performing with orchestras such as the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra and Rio de Janeiro City Theater Opera Orchestra, as well as musical theater groups and popular music ensembles. After moving to Canada to further his studies, he continued to perform, with groups such as the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, Surrey City Orchestra, and Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra.

Matheus is currently a Fellow and Candidate in the Doctor of Musical Arts of the University of British Columbia.
