Mario Noury, a Franco-Canadian who has lived in Halifax for over 10 years, has served as general manager of the Conseil communautaire du Grand-Havre since 2019. In this role, he has been instrumental in fostering the growth of the Acadian and Francophone communities. Previously, he coordinated the organization’s cultural programming for three years. He oversees a dynamic team that organizes two major annual festivals (Festival Grou Tyme and Francofest) and presents year-round programming. A graduate in political science and sustainable development and a dedicated volunteer, he is a past president of radio station C98FM and is currently leading the project to build a new cultural centre in Halifax.
