Malena Lorenson

Malena Lorenson is a Canadian bass trombonist currently pursuing her undergraduate degree at the Conservatoire de Musique de Montréal in the studio of Patrice Richer. She has played in various orchestras around Québec and Ontario including the Orchestre Symphonique de Laval, the Orchestre Symphonique du Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean and the Kingston Symphony. She was a 2023 National Academy Orchestra member and attended the Domaine Forget Summer Academy in 2022 and 2023. Malena was chosen as a finalist in the 2024 International Trombone Festival’s George Roberts Competition and will be competing in the final round in Fort Worth, Texas in May 2024.
