Magali began her studies under acclaimed violinist and violist Yehonatan Berick. She completed her training in the studio of violinist Anne Robert at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal, where she obtained a bachelor’s and a master’s degree before going on to study viola at the Conservatoire de Québec under Lambert Chen.
Magali is regularly invited to join the violin and viola sections of the Montréal and Québec symphony orchestras, and works with various ensembles in Québec and Ontario, including the Orchestre de l’Agora and the Sherbrooke, Trois-Rivières, Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, Thunder Bay, and Ottawa symphony orchestras, among others. She has performed in many places, including in Canada, Mexico, Germany, Scotland, Italy, Belgium and the Netherlands. Her interest in new works has led to invitations to collaborate with emerging composers. Alongside her orchestral career, Magali has performed at various chamber music festivals as a collaborative violinist and violist, including the Ponticello series and the Concerts-au- Îles-du-Bic. She regularly plays violin and viola in the Orchestre de l’Agora’s community chamber music projects.
