Oboist Lucian Avalon, 26, has enjoyed an eclectic musical career. He is currently completing his Doctoral studies at the Manhattan School of Music with James Austin Smith, and recently completed his undergraduate and graduate degrees at The Juilliard School under the tutelage of Elaine Douvas. Previously, he attended the Interlochen Arts Academy studying with Daniel Stolper.
Lucian was principal oboe of New York String Orchestra Seminar 2020, has performed with the Metropolitan Opera, NYC Ballet, NJ Symphony, Santa Fe Opera, Opera San Antonio, and the Richmond Symphony, and was an Aspen Music Festival and School Fellow for 5 summers.
