Liam MacIntosh is in the fourth year of his Bachelor’s of Music at the University of Ottawa, where he has been studying under Paul Marleyn. He has participated in numerous summer music festivals including Casalmaggiore International Music Festival, Domaine Forget International Music Festival, and Orford Music Festival. Liam has also had the pleasure of participating in masterclasses with Johannes Moser, Philippe Muller, Colin Carr, Raphael Wallfisch, and John Kadz. He was awarded the 2016 Sharon Stevenson Scholarship and was also a recipient of a BC Arts Council Scholarship in 2016. Liam was also a finalist in the 2018 National Arts Centre Bursary competition. He hopes to continue to pursue music in a post-graduate program and to one day form a string quartet. Outside of playing the cello, Liam enjoys various other hobbies including drawing and skiing.
