Kira Shiner

Kira Shiner is currently pursuing a Master of Music degree at the University of Ottawa under the tutelage of Charles Hamann. Past institutes Kira has attended include Bard College Conservatory, where she studied with Elaine Douvas, and the University of Toronto, studying with Sarah Jeffrey. Kira has participated in numerous summer music programs including the National Youth Orchestra of Canada (2017, 2018), the National Arts Centre: Young Artists Program (2019), and L’Orchestre de la Francophonie (2019). These festivals have allowed her to tour across Canada, Germany, and England and work with some of the top musicians in the world. In her spare time, Kira enjoys photography, visiting art galleries/museums, and drinking tea with friends.
