Kimmortal

my name is Kimmortal (aka Kim). my pronouns are they/them. i am a queer non-binary multi-hyphenate artist. in my creative expression, i’ve aimed to be radically honest and in so doing, i have created immersive environments that make queer and diasporic folks feel a sense of belonging and empowerment.

I have released three albums in the past 10 years and have opened for some incredible artists like Thundercat, Shad K, Ruby Ibarra, Saba, and Saul Williams. My album X marks the Swirl was a long-listed nominee for the Polaris in 2019 as well as Breakout West Music Awards 2020 in Hip Hop and Rap. I have been featured on notable publications including Complex, KEXP, Exclaim, and CBC.

Some highlights in the past two years have included landing my track “This Dyke” on “The L Word: Generation Q (2022) and this past summer 2023, going on my very first tour into the West Coast of the US touring my third album that I am extremely proud of, shoebox.
