Keenan Simik Komaksiutiksak

Simik Komaksiutiksak is a two-spirit Inuk artist from Rankin Inlet, Nunavut. Their passion for dance emerged at a young age and later moved towards dance and circus arts. Simik is a contemporary dancer and circus artist and has travelled to over 40 countries performing with AIDA Cruises. Their performance highlights include Sept moment du Joie with Cirque Éloize, performing with Taboo of the Black Eyed Peas at the North American Indigenous Games, and Sky Dancers with A’nó:wara Dance Theatre. Simik also stars in APTN’s television series PULSE.

Simik now works for the Arctic Rose Foundation as a guest artist, where they teach Inuit and Indigenous youth dance expression and creative arts.
