An exciting musician on the move
To think that he might have gone right by, that we might have missed him! Josué Beaucage was pursuing a career as a video game sound effects guy and rock musician with the band Who are you when, after a chance encounter, he was invited to compose for the theatre. Since then, the projects have kept on coming: composing circus music, collaborating with Robert Lepage on Hamlet Collage, creating and performing the score for Véronique Côté’s Flots, tout ce qui brille voit (presented at the NAC in 2014). This jack-of-all-trades has received the Prix Bernard-Bonnier, among other awards, and his film Territoire (2015) was selected at the San Francisco Dance Film Festival.
