Voice and stage actor Jérémie Desbiens is a graduate of the National Theatre School of Canada. He specialized in puppet theatre, and studied with such renowned artists as Francis Monty, Olivier Ducas, Michel Ledoux, Agnès Limbos, Anne Lalancette, Marthe Adam and Paulo Balardim.

Besides his work on the children’s television series Passe-Partout, his career as a puppeteer has taken him across Canada, the United States and Europe with various theatre companies, including La Roulotte, Ombres folles, Théâtre de l’Œil, Théâtre de la Pire Espèce, Théâtre Magasin, Socalled, La Ruée vers l’or, and his own collective, Les Hommes-objets. In 2016, his show Les Routes ignorées / Off the Beaten Path (produced by Ombres folles) won the prize for acting/manipulation skills at the International Children’s Theatre Festival in Subotica, Serbia. He was also nominated for Best Actor at the Puppet Up! Festival in Kyiv, Ukraine.

Quand tu me regardes is his first collaboration with Corpuscule Danse and has allowed him to reconnect with his years of dance training.
