Gilsons

Formed in 2018, Gilsons is the musical collaboration of Francisco, João, and José Gil, blending influences of pop rock, samba, reggae, and Bahian rhythms, while paying homage to the classic MPB of their father and grandfather, Gilberto Gil. With successful releases like "Várias Queixas" and "Devagarinho," the band's debut album "Pra Gente Acordar" has garnered attention, earning a Latin Grammy nomination for "Best Contemporary Pop Album in Portuguese Language." The trio, after participating in major festivals across Brazil, recently graced the Sunset Stage at Rock In Rio alongside Jorge Aragão, captivating an audience of over 100,000 people. Excitingly, they are confirmed for the Lollapalooza Brazil 2023 lineup.
