Estelle Savasta

French playwright and director Estelle Savasta worked with fellow directors Wajdi Mouawad and Gabriel Garran before founding her own company, Cie Hippolyte a mal au cœur, in 2005. Gradually growing interested in writing her own plays, she began with a collage of Agota Kristof’s Grand Cahier, followed by a reimagining of a Perrault fairy tale, Seule dans ma peau d’âne, then Traversée (2011). In her creative practice, Estelle collaborates directly with her intended audience, from persons with a hearing impairment to migrants to adolescents.
