Eric James Li

Eric James Li is an active bassoon performer based in Vancouver, Canada. Eric currently studies bassoon performance at the University of British Columbia with Ingrid Chiang and has participated in masterclasses with Christopher Millard, Nadina Mackie Jackson, Richard Ranti, and Julia Lockhart. As an avid chamber musician, Eric performs regularly in woodwind quintets and chamber wind ensembles in and around Vancouver. Eric’s notable orchestral experiences include the Vancouver Opera, Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra, and the National Youth Orchestra of Canada. Eric has been awarded numerous scholarships to fund his music program at UBC and is the recipient of an Award of Excellence for the 2023 National Youth Orchestra of Canada.
