Daniel Lehmann is a trumpeter from Winnipeg and is currently a doctoral student at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music where he studies with John Rommel and Kris Kwapis. During the 2021-22 school year, he served as the Associate Instructor of Trumpet. Daniel holds a Master of Music from Indiana University and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Manitoba.
In 2020, as an academy intern at the Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava, Daniel performed with the orchestra in the Czech Republic and on tour in Italy and Switzerland. He was a member of the National Academy Orchestra of Canada in both 2019 and 2021. In addition to orchestral playing, Daniel was a member of the IU New Music Ensemble for three years and has performed on baroque trumpet with Bourbon Baroque and the Indianapolis Baroque Orchestra.
Outside of music, Daniel enjoys road cycling and reading.
