Connor Landers, a recent graduate of the Eastman School of Music, is a native of Bradenton, Florida. He has appeared as guest principal horn with the Sarasota Orchestra, and has performed with the Rochester Philharmonic, as well as the Buffalo Philharmonic; he served as an Associate Member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago for the 2021-22 season. In addition to studying with Professor W. Peter Kurau, Connor has studied privately with artists such as Jennifer Montone, Erik Ralske, Andrew Bain, Jacek Muzyk, and Derek Conrod (natural horn). Connor has premiered original arrangements and compositions for groups such as the Bradenton Symphony Orchestra, the Eastman Horn Choir, and various collegiate organizations across the United States. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, playing ultimate frisbee, and disc golf.
Connor is honored to be a part of the NACO Mentorship Program's inaugural season, and also has plans to attend the Blackburn Academy at Festival Napa Valley before starting his Master's Degree at the Rice University Shepherd School of Music in the fall, under the tutelage of William VerMuelen.
