Last updated: May 30, 2017

Actor, director and playwright Bruno Stori was born in Bologna, Italy, and launched his career in the 1970s as a marionettist. With director Letizia Quintavalla, he founded the Teatro delle Briciole (“theatre of crumbs”). Together, the two artists created political shows for children (The Great Dictators, With a Doll in her Pocket, We’re All Gathered Here). Bruno draws his creative inspiration from folk tales, and is interested in creating plays about issues related to civic life. His movie roles include Gigi, the mythical character in Johannes Schaaf’s film Momo.
