Bethany Vaughan

Bethany Vaughan is a Chicago-based trumpet player and educator. As a freelancer, she has performed with the symphonies of Chicago, Cleveland, Houston, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, and Charlotte, among others. As a chamber musician, she has performed with Seraph Brass, and her brass quintet was selected as a finalist for the MTNA National Chamber Music Competition. Bethany attended Indiana University and Northwestern University. She has spent summers as a fellow at the Aspen Music Festival, Round Top Festival Institute, and Texas Music Festival. Bethany’s primary teachers include John Rommel, David Bilger, Tom Rolfs, Michael Sachs, Kris Kwapis (baroque trumpet), and James Austin.
