Hailing from New York City, August Haller graduated in December 2023 with his Bachelor of Music degree from Rice University in Houston, Texas. He has performed with professional groups, including the Houston Symphony and Ensemble Modern; in the fall of 2022, he trialled for Associate Principal/3rd horn with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra. Prior to studying with William VerMeulen at Rice, he studied with Brad Gemeinhardt at Juilliard Pre-College. In his free time, August enjoys trying new foods, playing board games, and exploring the city with friends. This is August’s second year in the NACO Mentorship Program.
