Arin Sarkissian

Arin Sarkissian, 22, is a Master of Music candidate at The Colburn School, studying with flutist Jim Walker. Arin was named a 2022 Yamaha Young Artist Performance Competition Winner, won 1st Prize and Stringray Audience Choice at the 2020 Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal Concours, and 3rd Prize in the 2020 National Flute Association Young Artist Competition. In recent summers, he has performed with the National Youth Orchestra of Canada and was a 2021 Flute Fellow at the Music Academy of the West summer festival.

Arin performs on a Haynes Custom flute and works with Cynthia Kelley as his primary instrument technician. He recently graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music with Distinction in Research and Creative Works, studying under the professorship of Leone Buyse.
