Andrina Turenne is a singer, songwriter, and musician born and raised in St Boniface, Manitoba with strong ties to her Franco-Manitoban/Métis roots. She started singing at a young age, learning traditional songs and harmonizing around campfires with family and friends. She has worked in the music industry for over two decades, notably with JUNO award-winning group Chic Gamine. She has contributed to over 40 album releases, has performed on stages across five continents and been featured on national and international radio and television broadcasts.
In recent years, she’s created original music and performed live in theatre productions such as the Gabriel Dumont’s Wild West Show (NAC) and L’article 23 et sa suite (Théâtre Cercle Molière) and her music was featured in acclaimed independent film Ste. Anne as well as The David Suzuki Podcast. Andrina spent the better part of the last year writing and pre-producing in her home studio and is currently working on her debut solo record, slated for release in 2022.
