A native of Toronto, Andre Dubelsten has been a member of the Orchestre symphonique de Québec since 2022. Prior to joining the OSQ, he spent over a decade playing with the Canadian Opera Company in Toronto, as well as with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, the National Ballet of Canada and other Toronto-area ensembles. He has performed as a soloist throughout North America, Europe and the Middle East, most notably at Steinway Hall in New York City; the Villersexel cathedral in Villersexel, France; San Marcos University in Lima, Peru; the Christ Cathedral in Garden Grove, California; the Nixon Library in Yorba Linda, California and Messiah University in Grantham, Pennsylvania. He regularly tours as a soloist with the Young Musicians European Orchestra, performing concerts throughout Italy, other parts of Europe and the Middle East.
As a chamber musician, Andre has toured the United States with New York-based soprano Devon Guthrie, performing baroque concerts for trumpet and voice. The duo’s tour took Andre through California, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Washington, DC, and the United Kingdom. Andre has also played as a soloist with the Portland Chamber Orchestra in Oregon. He credits his musical development to his teachers, Gerald B. Webster, Andrew McCandless, Edward Carroll, Jens Lindemann and Mark Gould.
