As audiences continue to swoon over Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice and ticket demand is strong, the NAC English Theatre has added three more performances:

Tuesday, December 11 at 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday, December 12 at 2 p.m.
Wednesday, December 12 at 7:30 p.m.

On the heels of this amazing news, and to celebrate the artists and audiences who have made Pride and Prejudice such a roaring success, the NAC English Theatre is announcing that the Wednesday, December 12 at 2 p.m. matinee will be a special benefit performance, with all proceeds going to the Actors’ Fund of Canada and the Ottawa Food Bank.  Tickets for the benefit performance are $35.50.

This NAC English Theatre/Theatre Calgary co-production now plays thru December 12 in the NAC Theatre.

The romantic world of Regency England is brought to vivid life in this sparkling new adaptation of Jane Austen’s classical masterpiece about love, family, and the politics of marriage. When the independent minded Elizabeth Bennet meets the enigmatic Mr. Darcy, her opinions on marriage are profoundly tested. Can he overcome his pride and she her prejudice to make an ideal match in a society where social standing outweighs personal feeling? You’ll delight in watching the sparks fly. An enchanting theatre experience leading up to the holidays.
