Ballet Master Jaime Vargas has danced various lead roles for the Royal Winnipeg Ballet such as Prince Siegfried in Swan Lake, Bob in Val Caniparoli’s hit A Cinderella Story, Captain Hook in Jorden Morris’ Peter Pan,Tamino in Mark Godden’s The Magic Flute and the title role in Godden’s Dracula.
Jaime began studying dance at age 14 and is passionate about teaching others the language of dance. While the RWB was in Ottawa performing Nutcracker the NAC Dance team organized a series of dance education activities for the community — from primary school visits to masterclasses and pre-show chats it was a wonderful and inspiring week of dance in Ottawa.
