Under the baton of NAC Orchestra Music Director Alexander Shelley, world-renowned pianist Jonathan Biss brings to life the restless and searching spirits of Beethoven and Schumann, two of the most celebrated composers of the Romantic Era. Beethoven went deaf. Schumann battled mental illness. Both geniuses were surprisingly young when they composed some of their most notable works.
Come early, and take in a Pre-Concert Talk with Alexander Shelley, Ottawa Citizen Music Critic Natasha Gauthier and acclaimed Canadian Artist and Illustrator, Anita Kunz. 7 p.m. in the NAC Main Foyer.
