Fourth Stage,1 Elgin Street,Ottawa,CanadaCritically acclaimed singer-songwriter Philippe B creates timeless French classic pop tunes. Following the release of his third album, Variations fantômes (2011), and backed by the Molinari Quartet and a chamber orchestra, he performed sold-out shows (hailed as “utterly captivating” [Le Devoir] and “an unqualified success” [La Presse]) at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal, Club Soda, and Saint-Jean-Baptiste Church. Between these concerts and the composition of his fourth studio album, Ornithologie, la nuit, released in April 2014, Philippe B put his multiple talents to good use by producing albums for Groenland, Isabelle Boulay, Les sœurs Boulay and Carl Éric Hudon. Most recently, besides lending a hand on Pierre Lapointe’s EP Les Callas, he wrote the original soundtrack for Éric Morin’s latest film, Chasse au Godard d’Abbittibbi (Hunting the Northern Godard).
