Gil Shaham, “the outstanding American violinist of his generation” (~ Time Magazine), is our soloist for Mendelssohn’s masterpiece, once called “the heart’s jewel” among violin concertos—a beautiful amalgam of romantic melodies, emotion, and virtuosity.
